Final documentation and reflection

Final reflection Name : Contoured echoing Design approach and central concept: Design a model that would have two different uses in it – parkour training and normal inhabitation Design approach A: component model, continuing analysis of the site, focusing on the misaligning offsets of rows of bricks and switching axis to create new corners; also components themselves and their configuration resulted in slices of space; Design approach B: relief model from the analysis of the building; contoured exaggeration of the offset of bricks; coming up with a hierarchy of spaces based on different facades of the site Hybridization: choose specific and most interesting parts from the design approach A model, modify them based on different parkour movements, use interlocking contours and framing from the design approach B model. Doubling vertical planes with a frame to open up the model + frames are used as support when performing parkour Occupan

Finalizing occupants

Occupant 1: young 20s, parkour tracer, films himself doing parkour movements Occupant 2: old 50s, parkour philosopher, retired, still does a couple of parkour movements but mainly enjoys teaching and reading Occupant 1 starts as a basic traceur. He does two parkour movements outdoors, films them, he also watches those videos. Occupant two practices two parkour movements and reads in the spare time. Occupant 1 comes to occupant 2 to be a student. So, the philosopher teaches him everyday. The young traceur studies every morning an then foes practicing and filming. In the end of the day he watches videos in the home theater. The philosopher prefers meditating outdoors early in the morning and then teaches the traceur. During the day he tries to practice parkour. In the evening the philosopher reads and relaxes in the library. Midterm evaluation

Midterm evaluation I think, I used well the words and ideas from my language diagram when I was presenting, however, not all of them. I feel like I didn't talk about everything I wanted to. There were some important things to take in after midterm. The mapping out and the format can be more successful by combining the image with the text that directly relates to it. Labeling the image and providing spatial descriptions is a more clear and effective way of presenting work. Program update

Occupant 1 male 30s outdoor parkour wild natural dangerous solo training in the beginning running up the walls, vaulting, grasping bars Occupant 2 female 30s indoor parkour repetitive technical solo training in the beginning landing, rolling and precision activities Two occupants start with solo training of parkour in the beginning of the day. They have different styles and parkour movements. Occupant 1 goes through different parkour movements one by one. Occupant 2 has repeats the combination of actions. By the of the day they come together for jamming - training together and sharing styles.
